Things I'm considering editing and will effect this list. I'm in my prime and games are better then ever. Also I'm only 17 so cool the fuck down on wheres SMB3 and why so many new games are up. I will release my final verdict at the end of the year but know much thought has gone into this blog as I have been editing this list for about 6 months now. Now I know you may consider some games better then others but this is just my opinion. This is MY (Not yours) Favorite games of all time. 57 Comments My Top Favortie 100 Games Ever.So Far Plus it's not like Gamestop is going away anytime soon. It offers some good deals every once in awhile and is very convenient for some buys (considering I hate waiting a week for free shipping). Some people act like they force you to trade int he games at Gamestop and that they're the only option. If you want a better deal Try Goozex, eBay, or even best buy if you're desperate and hate gamestop enough. My Gamestop has tons of old PS2/Xbox/GC games they took a loss on. But it's a business they have to make a profit and in case you haven't noticed it's not like they sell every game they get back. Trade In Deals- Ok not always the best but obviously its the most convenient place to do it. You just say yes (blank game) or no, not that hard. What's wrong with that? They're are designated too and it's not like they're in your face forcing you too. Customer Service - Some people complain that they ask them whether they want to reserve a game or are looking for what. They pretty much obliterated places like Funkoland and because of that Gamestop is now the only core gaming store now. (but then they'll be a bunch of idiots saying this is why the hate it and not the deals). Con's Pretty Much Monopolized the Gaming Market - Now this is were I can see it getting the hate and not disagree. I can't really find old games up to a year old at Best Buy or Target so GS really helps for this. Variety - For some of those who don't consider Amazon their main shopping place of choice GS offers a variety of games like no other. Also to compete with Amazon they've been the ones severly dropping the prices on new games and are why you can find AC2 or Darksiders for $20 or Gow3 & ME2 for $30. The one that really gets me is the Buy 2 Get 1 Free (admit it, you've probably fell for this deal before), usually I pick up a game a for the risk factor with this or just go all out and revisit the store just so I can abuse the deal but this deal is great and often occurs every 2 months or so. The Deals - Gamestop usually offers some good deals, Things like their 50% trade in bonus are great for those who resort to trading in at Gamestop and along with the Edge card make it even more. Whether you like GI or not is based on your opinion but it plays for itself with used deals. That Whole 10% removes Tax and then some when buying a game basically and really helps when purchasing a game. Pro's The Edge Card - This card pays for itself pretty much, you not only get a subscription to Game Informer, but 10% Trade in Bonus on Deals and 10% off Used Games. Then there WAS the people who shopped at Gamecrazy which was basically a horribly ran Gamestop. If you beat the game in a weak and your bored of it, congrats you should of rented it or waited ya idiot. Maybe it's just me, but I'm tired of whiny kids on the internet who won't shut up about how Gamestop rips them off because they only got $22 for there $60 game. But I don't get why people hate it except for stupid trade in value. So it is obvious the Gamestop the main (and only big) Videogame selling/trading Establishment. The cool water makes this hike particularly pleasant during the hot months of summer. The canyon is so narrow, the river covers the bottom in many spots, which means you have to wade or swim to proceed. It is pure fun and can be tailored to suit any ability level. The Narrows is the most popular hike in Zion National Park, and one of the world’s best slot canyon hikes. There is no view more dramatic than what you see hanging onto a chain bolted into a cliff, so come to Angels Landing. This is one adventure that packs a mountain of excitement into a relatively compact, daring hike. A chain railing adds an element of safety, but if exposed heights make you weak in the knees, it will take a double-dose of courage to make the summit. The hike climbs up roughly 1,500 vertical feet along the narrow fin of stone that reaches a top elevation of 5,790 feet. The trail to its lofty summit was hewn out of its steep, rock-solid spine in 1926 and it continues to thrill hikers to this day. Angels Landing is one of the defacto classic hikes in Zion and one of the most stunning viewpoints you will ever experience. The stunning views of Zion Canyon’s 270-million-year-old rock layers will time travel you back to the Triassic period when this section of the Colorado Plateau was just a flat basin at sea level. Angel’s LandingĪngels Landing is one of the world’s most renowned hikes and is an unforgettable adventure worthy of all bucket lists. For hikers seeking an adventure in the remote red rock beauty of Utah, Coyote Gulch is a hard-won, bucket-list destination. Hikers will pass a good number of arches, as well as the hardy wetlands that thrive within the shade and moisture of Utah’s desert oases. The hike is long, best suited for an overnighter, though it can be hiked in one day by those satisfied with a march instead of casual exploration. Located in the vast Grand Staircase-Escalante desert, Coyote Gulch is a winding, semi-narrow canyon that snakes its way down through incredible red rock country, and joins with the Escalante River just above Lake Powell. Don’t miss this chance to marvel at the incredible Landscape Arch. The arch’s existence would throw the entire notion of gravity into question, were it not for three pieces of the arch that have broken off in the last two decades. The arch is so long and so thin, it’s hard to believe it can stand. The mirage-like Landscape Arch looks entirely under-supported. Geologically speaking, it’s likely to collapse any day. It’s also famous for the extreme slenderness of its stone span.Īnd don’t wait too long to see it. On the geologic time scale, Landscape Arch is a senior citizen among arches in the park. Landscape Arch has an opening spanning an incredible 306 feet, which may make it the longest stone span in the world. Stay left here, and continue for about another quarter mile for your chance to marvel at the incredible Landscape Arch. This is an easy trail to hike on-flat and double-wide all the way. Just before you see Landscape Arch and as you descend a series of steps, you come to the junction with the Primitive Loop Trail. After checking out these two large arches, head back to the main trail and on to Landscape Arch.) Go left to Pine Tree Arch and right to Tunnel Arch. If you take this spur trail, it splits again at the bottom of a small hill. (Option: The spur trails take you down to Pine Tree and Tunnel Arches, both well worth adding 0.4 mile to your hike. Geologically speaking, it’s likely to collapse any day.Ībout a quarter mile from the trailhead, a short spur trail goes to the right. It’s also famous for the extreme slenderness of its stone span. This is an easy trail to hike on-flat and double-wide all the way (and usually heavily populated with hikers, so get an early start to avoid crowds). It’s one of those must-see features of Arches National Park. The hike to Landscape Arch is akin to the trip to Delicate Arch. “But at some point I do think you start to violate the emerging courtesy that we don’t spam each other.” “I think you can reach out, I think you can follow up, and I think you can double-check that follow-up,” Post-Senning said. Is email the best way to communicate? Is there a better time of the day or week to reach them? Do they respond to emails after hours and on weekends, or completely unplug? Gauge that person’s email preferences in person, Farley said. “I think if you haven’t heard from someone in a day or two, I would check in,” Daniel Post-Senning, an etiquette expert from the Emily Post Institute, told Moneyish.Īlso read: Coworker troubles? Here’s the perfect 4-word email to write Swann recommends giving it 24 to 48 hours before following up on your first email, depending on the urgency. Let your emails breathe a bit, if possible. Avoid asking for something “ASAP,” Farley said, as that timeframe can be vague and subjective. Specify a deadline in your initial email. Stay away from accusatory language like “You didn’t do this” or “I’m still waiting,” Swann said, and opt for a more open follow-up like “Did you have the opportunity to take a look at this?” If they are bottlenecking a process, you might politely point out that it’s important to get their input in order for you to move forward. “Don’t apologize don’t be sheepish about it.”Īlso read: These are the things you should never, ever put in an email “The more you apologize, the less powerful a position you’re checking in from,” he said. But your third email - especially if this person’s unresponsiveness is holding up the process, or your work depends on their reply - should typically be your last. If your initial email to a colleague goes unanswered, etiquette expert Elaine Swann said, you can check back in. Have a timely subject line that communicates exactly what you need - that means no vague “FYI” or “UPDATE,” or reviving a months-old email thread - and put the most vital information up front. The guy has 7-8 film crew with him AT ALL TIMES. What really pisses me off is, is that he was having a bit of a cry about being lonely. And that’s what this boils down too…it is entertainment, made for muppets who just want to see pretty stunts and bug eating. It makes you think, why would he do that? The answer is obvious…for entertainment. You can credit Bear for drinking water from elephant shit, eating bugs, crawling through mud and wading through extreme areas, but completely taging “dangerous” fake scenes…such as the fake lava on the Hawaii episode and the supposed hunt for the ocean when he was literally half a kilometer from the road (here’s the video if you don’t beleive me ) is just absolutely ridiculous considering the amount of bullshitting he does. He’s an experienced climber, but telling someone to climb down a waterfall rather than take the hour journey around is plain fucking stupid. What if someone was to really take on board some of the “amateurish” advice given on the show and actually hurt themselves. While Jason’s little anger-thon was a bit over the top, the fact is Man vs Wild has staged a few…well crucial parts of the show. Hey Tracey, don’t assume you speak for everyone with this “we do” shit. The series was originally made for the Discovery Channel in the US and was acquired for UK transmission by Channel 4.ĭiverse Productions declined to elaborate on Channel 4’s statement, while Grylls’s agent was unavailable for comment. “However, we take any allegations of misleading our audiences seriously and will be looking into this further with Diverse over the next few days.” The broadcaster said Grylls carried out his own stunts and did place himself in perilous situations, “though he does so within clearly-observed health and safety guidelines required on productions of this kind”. “For example, he often directly addresses the production team, including the cameraman, making it clear he is receiving an element of back-up.” “The programme explicitly does not claim that presenter Bear Grylls’ experience is one of unaided solo survival. However, he was actually in Hawaii and spent some of his time there in a motel, Mr Weinert alleged.Īnother time, he added, Grylls was filmed building a raft by himself, whereas the crew had actually put it together and dismantled it beforehand, to ensure that it worked.Īnd in a further episode, supposedly “wild” horses rounded up by Grylls had come from a local trekking facility, he claimed.Ĭhannel 4 said in a statement that Born Survivor was “not an observational documentary series, but a ‘how-to’ guide to basic survival techniques in extreme environments”. He often directly addresses the production team, including the cameraman, making it clear he is receiving an element of back-up The show also airs on the British TV on Channel 4 and is titled Born Survivor.Ĭhannel 4 is to investigate a claim that it misled viewers in a survival series, in the latest allegation of reality being manipulated on a TV show.īorn Survivor featured British adventurer Bear Grylls dealing with “perilous situations” in the wild.īut a crew member told the Sunday Times some nights were spent in hotels.Ĭhannel 4 insisted Grylls was never billed as working entirely unaided, but promised to raise the matter with the production company that made the show.Īmerican survival consultant Mark Weinert, who was recruited by Diverse Productions, told the paper Grylls claimed to be stranded on a desert island on one occasion. Grylls stars in the reality survival show Man Vs Wild where he is dropped into the wild with only a knife, a water bottle and some flint and expected to make it back to civilization. He also frequently talks and directs the production crew, which he claim never interfere in the survival part of his show. As well, a member of the production crew said that during the “Deserted Island” episode, the crew made the raft and disassembled it for Grylls to make sure that it worked before Grylls assembled it. It has been claimed that he spends some nights in motels and hotels instead of facing the wild in his shelters. Self-claimed “Born Survivor” Bear Grylls faces allegations that he misleads the viewers during his shows. With Celestial Fire or even Glaives, this effect is surprisingly easy to activate, giving you constant health regeneration for six seconds. Karnstein Armlets not only make this effect easy to trigger, but the health regeneration itself is immense. Health regeneration is an incredibly hard effect to find in Destiny 2. While active, this buff will grant a constant, uninterruptible health regeneration effect. Karnstein Armlets cause all melee kills to grant a large chunk of health and a buff named Vampire's Caress. Vampire's Caress: Melee kills instantly restore a large amount of health and continue to restore health afterwards for a short duration. We've updated this list with new entries, rewrote some sections that were no longer accurate, and reranked a few entries to reflect recent sandbox changes. Updated January 27, 2023, by Charles Burgar: Now that all subclasses have been reworked and Lightfall is near, we've figured this is the perfect time to reflect on the Warlock's Exotic armor choices for PvE and PvP. For those looking to make the strongest Warlock, here are ten Exotics you should consider using in Destiny 2. Exotics can shape a build as much, sometimes more, than any subclass or mod could. With such versatility and diverse playstyles available, Warlocks have been the favorite class of many Guardians, but the choices don't stop at the subclass menu. Related: The Best Exotics For Titans In Destiny 2, Ranked Warlocks are a special breed in the realm of Destiny 2, with the ability to mend their team's wounds or warp the elements into devastating abilities. Destiny 2has seen some major changes over its lifespan, and as such, there are more Guardians than ever learning how to wield the Light and Dark. Lots of options, especially now that time isn't an issue. It is also possible to pay using Pay by Plate or with cash. We're also looking at taking the northern route through Canada and upper peninsula of Michigan. You can pay tolls in Indiana electronically with transponders including E-ZPass and I-Pass. The camp hosts did tell us that they are booked solid on the weekends, so good to know for in the future. We also took longer, but we really enjoyed the stress-free drive on State highways rather than interstates.ĭuring the week, we had no problem getting our pick of camp sites in SPs in Indiana and Illinois. On the way home, we actually went further south and avoided Chicago altogether. We remember when there was NOTHING out there! What happened?!?! Wisconsin, especially between Rockford and Madison is also VERY congested and slow b/c of the construction. More miles, but for the most constant speeds, no switching from one lane to another and getting onto different hwys/exits/entrances and no tolls once you get past Chicago. So the last few years we've minimized our travel through/around Chicago by staying on I-80 (which is VERY congested) and then heading north on I-39. On the way out and more so on the way back home, we were very motivated to avoid as much of Chicago as possible (we are SO over Chicago ). Are E-ZPass and I-Pass the same You can pay using either transponder while traveling on the Indiana Toll Road or the Cline Avenue Bridge. Yeah, we have no problem paying a little more b/c of the additional axles, but 5x more is just ridiculous and a ripoff. There are no toll roads in Indianapolis itself, but if you are coming from I-90 in the north, you can pay by E-ZPass, I-Pass or with cash. When we travel out that way again we are looking at NOT taking the Indiana Tollroads. This year, with towing the pup, that exact same trip cost us $42 and some change. Last year, on one of our two trips from NY to MN, we paid a little over $8.00 to travel on the Indiana Tollway that's going the full length of it without getting off at all. TollGuru toll calculator does not calculate tolls for these express lanes since the tolls are not known before you travel on the roads. I guess we figured it'd be a little more than the usual, just like NY. What we didn't really look into was what the increase in toll would be in Ohio, Indiana or Illinois. When we were looking into this, we saw that we would be paying a little more toll for towing the pup, but didn't have a problem with that. We checked, and here in NY, they require a different transponder (blue), so we now have that one for when we are towing our pup. We just got back from our maiden voyage with our N2U pup, a 2007 Fleetwood Avalon, which has two axles giving us a total of four axles now. Not sure if there were any discounts in Ohio or Indiana or even in NY. Have absolutely loved it for not only the time savings, especially around Chicago (which, btw, there is NO good way around), but also for the 50% off tolls in Illinois. We don't have to pay a monthly fee (years ago that used to be the case) whether we use the pass in a month or not.Īnyway, we've used this EZPass for several years now and numerous trips to and from Minnesota. It's the regular white transponder for normal automobiles (2 axles). We live in NY and have an EZPass for our normal travels around here (Buffalo area). Found this thread and thought I'd ask my question here. |
